The K-pop stars’ 2026 Met Gala appearances made for a rare group study in individual image-making. Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and Rosé arrived under the same theme, but the Blackpink Met Gala 2026 outfits moved through four different houses, archives and reference points.

For Jisoo, the night marked her Met Gala debut. The Blackpink member arrived in a glimmering pink Dior gown, a strapless, backless column dress made in gazar and covered in embroidery inspired by a garden scene. Floral bouquets edged the dress, while a matching headpiece carried fabric flower embroidery into the hair. The look was finished with Cartier jewellery, including a Cartier Collection necklace from 1905. Dior’s long relationship with painterly references made the look an apt first step onto the museum stairs, with the gown drawing from art history through surface, craft and composition.

Jennie, now on her fourth consecutive Met Gala appearance, stayed within the Chanel universe but moved into a cooler mood. Working with stylist Sam Woolf, the singer, actor and Chanel global ambassador wore a blue column dress with a bustier covered in sequin leaves. The dress reportedly took 540 hours to create and included 15,000 embroidered elements, a detail that made the simplicity of the silhouette deceptive in the best way. She accessorised with Chanel High Jewellery in gold and white diamonds, while pale pink makeup and an updo with a small kiss curl (a celeb favourite from Met Gala 2025) kept the beauty look in step with the dress.
