Conversations related to how Vijay had subtly revealed of entering politics even before he had launched his party back in 2024 surfaced. A report by the Hindustan Times report revealed Vijay’s dad, SA Chandrashekar had started off a political party called Vijay Makkal Iyakam (VMI) back in 2020. He was the general secretary of the party while Vijay’s mom, Shobha Chandrashekhar, had become the treasurer. However, both of them had not consulted Vijay on the matter. It was back in September 2021 when Vijay had actually filed a lawsuit like against 11 people and restrained them from using his pictures, names or the snaps of his fan club for any sort of political activities.
