Three youth — Prashanth, Vikas and Anand Reddy, all aged 27 years, went for the darshan of Nacharam Lakshminarasimha Swamy on Wednesday. After offering prayers, Vikas and Anand Reddy went to bathe in the Haldi stream near the temple.
As they did not know swimming, they began drowning and on witnessing it, Prashanth, who was sitting on the bank, also got into the water.
However, he could not save them. As he also did not swimming, all three of them drowned in the waters.
Early on Thursday morning, expert swimmers recovered the bodies from the water. They were shifted to Gajwel government hospital for post mortem.
Police said that a case has been registered following a complaint from the family members.
