TOWIE narrator Denise Van Outen spoke out after the death of Jake Hall at 35, saying he was ‘way too young to go’
Denise Van Outen has shared her heartbreak over TOWIE co-star Jake Hall’s tragic death at 35, stating that he was “way too young to go”.
The reality star died during a trip to Majorca, after smashing into a glass door in a freak accident at his holiday villa. Police officers were reportedly called to the property, and are said to be carrying out an investigation.
Many of the dad-of-one’s former castmates have since shared heartfelt tributes on social media, including Georgia Harrison and Tommy Mallet. Van Outen, who serves as the voiceover for the ITV2 series, has now added her name to the list.
“I’ve worked on the show since it started and with any loss within our TOWIE family it is heartbreaking. But he was so lovely whenever I saw him out and he was so friendly and so talented,” she said.

“I really feel for his family, my thoughts go out to them, and it is just really sad and he was way too young to go.”
“’I do wonder what TOWIE will do, I think they’ll do a tribute as they’ve lost a few people recently. I was just really really shocked when I saw it,” she added to the Daily Mail.
Van Outen has narrated TOWIE since it began in 2010. Hall joined the cast in 2015, and his relationship with ex-girlfriend Chloe Lewis gripped viewers at the time.
After leaving the show, he began dating Misse Beqiri, with the pair going on to welcome daughter River together in 2017. Following their split, he took a step back from the public eye to concentrate on his fashion labels.
News of Hall’s death emerged earlier today, with reports claiming that he was found in a pool of his blood after smashing into a glass door, following a night of partying with friends in Spain.
According to reports, officers were reportedly called to an address in Santa Margalida, at 7:30am local time. Six people are thought to have been questioned amid an ongoing investigation.
TOWIE bosses led tributes, issuing a statement which read: “Jake was a part of the TOWIE family for a number of years and we send our very deepest sympathies to his family and friends following today’s very sad news.”
Co-star Vas Morgan posted a lengthy Instagram message, penning: “35 years old is far too young. Jake had so much more life to live. This is an incredible loss and my heart is breaking for his baby girl River, his parents, his brother Sonny and the rest of the family.
“The friendship most of you saw between Jake and I on TOWIE was just a snippet of what we had been through together. Jake and I supported each other through many lows and celebrated every achievement side by side. From the moment I met him, we had a bond not many people could understand. It felt like reconnecting with a long lost brother.
“He was so talented. I truly don’t think the world had even seen half of what his mind was capable of. I’m so sorry. Sending love to everybody who needs it today. This is a deeply difficult loss. I just wish we had more time. RIP Jake Hall.”
“The only thing weirder than us was our relationship & that’s what made it special,” Tommy Mallett said on his own page. “You inspired me to start my first brand & give me inspiration to start all over again when I see you do it… See you on the other side too buff.”
Hall’s former partner, Beqiri, added via her reps: “At this time, Misse’s focus is on supporting and protecting their child as they come to terms with this devastating loss. The family are asking for privacy, compassion and respect while they grieve privately.”
