Woman stabs man in the face in north Brisbane

A man has been stabbed in the face near Gaythorne station overnight on Thursday.

Police said the 50-year-old man was attacked by a 33-year-old woman on the corner of Samford Road and Bere Street shortly after midnight.

Paramedics transported the man in a stable condition to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

The woman was taken into custody, although police had yet to lay charges. A police spokesperson said the investigation was continuing.
