Producer Anil Sunkara, who recently tasted success with Nari Nari Naduma Murari starring Sharwanand, is reportedly set to bankroll the actor’s next project with director Srinu Vaitla.
“Anil Sunkara will be producing the Sharwanand–Srinu Vaitla entertainer, and an official announcement is expected shortly,” says a source. Reportedly impressed with the script, described as a full-fledged laugh riot, the producer is said to have readily agreed to back the project. “Vaitla is adept at comic entertainers and has once again crafted a hilarious script that suits Sharwanand’s image perfectly,” the source adds.
Earlier, Mythri Movie Makers were expected to produce the film, but the project later changed hands, with Anil Sunkara stepping in. “The friendship between Srinu Vaitla and Anil Sunkara goes back more than a decade, and they share strong mutual trust. They delivered a blockbuster like Dookudu and also faced setbacks together with Aagadu, yet their producer-director relationship has remained intact,” the source points out.
Anil Sunkara also reportedly shares a warm rapport with Sharwanand. The actor had openly praised the producer during the promotions of Nari Nari Naduma Murari, which emerged as an average grosser during the Sankranthi season.
“Sharwanand is keen to showcase his comic timing once again, much like he did in Mahanubhavudu, and hopes to score a solid hit in the comedy genre with comedy specialist Srinu Vaitla,” the source concludes.
