Hyderabad: The former IPS officer Vinay Ranjan Ray’s wife Sunanda (55) was found murdered at their residence at Prashasan Nagar in Jubilee Hills on Friday.
Police suspect the involvement of a domestic help in the crime, while preliminary reports also indicate a possible gang link. Senior officials visited the scene and reviewed the situation. Clues team and fingerprint experts were rushed to the spot to collect the scientific evidence which will enable the investigators to zero in on the accused.
Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender who visited the crime scene said the members of Nepali could be involved in the incident. He assured that the police would initiate stern action against the culprits.
Teams have been deployed to trace the accused, and further details are awaited as the investigation is in progress.
