New England Patriots rookie seventh-round draft pick Quintayvious Hutchins is reportedly facing an assault and battery charge for an alleged incident involving a family member or member of the household on Tuesday.
WBZ News of CBS Boston reported the story on Wednesday.

According to court documents, per WBZ News, Hutchins was charged with assault in Newton, Massachusetts. The former Boston College standout was arraigned on Wednesday with a not guilty plea entered on his behalf. He has been released and will appear at a later court hearing.
Hutchins left rookie minicamp practice early with an apparent injury last Saturday. He was one of two edge rushers taken by the Patriots in the 2026 NFL Draft. The team also traded up to select Gabe Jacas in the second round.
Hutchins, his lawyer and the Patriots have yet to comment on the matter.
