Hyderabad: The Central government has approved the extension of service of G Sai Prasad, the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, for a further period of six months.
The extension of Prasad, a 1991 batch IAS officer, will be effective from June 1, 2026 to November 30, 2026, following a proposal sent by the Andhra Pradesh government. The approval was granted under Rule 16(1) of the AIS (DCRB) Rules, 1958.
The order was issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, through Under Secretary Rajesh Kumar Yadav.
