Two teenage girls have been charged with assault after an altercation forced the evacuation of a shopping complex on Brisbane’s northside on Friday afternoon.

Queensland police were called to the Great Western Super Centre on Settlement Road in Keperra about 3pm following reports of a disturbance in Woolworths.

Shoppers and workers were evacuated from the store and two teenage girls were taken in custody.

Police confirmed on Saturday a 15-year-old Kedron girl has been charged with wilful damage, assault occasioning bodily harm and two counts of common assault.

A 14-year-old girl from Goodna has been charged with wilful damage, assault occasioning bodily harm and common assault.

The pair were scheduled to appear in the Brisbane Childrens Court today.
