KAKINADA: APSRTC employees under the leadership of the APPTD Employees Union staged a dharna in front of the RTC garage at Eluru on Saturday, demanding that the state government purchase electric buses and ensure they are operated only by the RTC.
They also demanded the appointment of the 12th Pay Revision Commission (PRC), declaration of interim relief, and resolution of other long-pending issues of employees.

He further demanded implementation of the 1/19 Act, cancellation of team damage recoveries and lifting of suspensions imposed on some employees.
Union Eluru depot honorary president Y. Srinivas, regional treasurer G. Bhaskar, depot organising secretary P. Srihari, senior leader S. Dhanunjay, AITUC district president Bandi Venkateswara Rao, Eluru regional secretary B. Rambabu and others participated in the protest.
