The government has dismissed a social media post claiming that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas announced India has only two days of fuel reserves left.
In a fact-check post, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) clarified that India currently maintains crude oil reserves sufficient for 60 days and also has surplus refining capacity. Authorities urged citizens not to panic and to rely only on verified information issued by official government sources regarding fuel and gas availability.
The government also advised people to immediately report misleading or dubious content circulating online.
