In an exclusive interview with News18, Sara Ali Khan, who was recently seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, shared her views on marriage, relationship dynamics, and her focus on self-reliance. Speaking about how her own life experiences have shaped her practical view of relationships, Sara explained that she chooses patience over societal pressure. She said, “You are a product of your experiences and what you see around you. At the risk of being too serious, I’ve seen that marriages can also go wrong. Toh usse better hai ki aap wait karo aur sahi bande ke saath shaadi karo. And when that happens, that will be the correct time. I think that’s the most important thing. I’ve what it takes to be okay without being married. I don’t feel the need to be completed. I’m not looking to be completed.”

Sara shared how she strongly believes that a partner should not be viewed as a way to fill an emotional void. For her, entering a relationship out of a sense of incompletion is not a viable path. She added, “I want to be a complete human being within myself. And then if I find somebody to celebrate me, cherish me and make me feel even better, that’s fine. Looking for this missing piece in you in somebody else isn’t a sustainable thing. You shouldn’t do that. And right now, I want to work. Meanwhile, if the right person has to come, they will. I really do believe that jaldi ka kaam shaitaan ka hota hai. So, I try to not rush these things.”

When asked about how she views herself in a relationship and if she could potentially be a red flag to a partner, Sara offered a confident and honest self-assessment. She shared, “I think I can get into my own head sometimes. But that’s internal, I don’t think it will affect the other person. Other than that, I’m a green flag.”
