Princess Anne’s son Peter Phillips is set to marry Harriet Sperling in just a few weeks’ time with many senior royals expected to be at the family wedding

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie look set to be brought out of the cold by joining senior royals at a family wedding in a few weeks’ time.

The sisters, daughters of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, have reportedly been invited to the wedding of Princess Anne’s son, Peter Phillips, on June 6. Mr Phillips is set to marry Harriet Sperling in Gloucestershire, with guests expected to attend, including the King and Queen and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

If Beatrice and Eugenie, who is pregnant with her third child, do decide to attend, it would be the first time they have been seen with their royal relatives since the release of the Epstein files in January, where more claims came to light about their parents’ association with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

At Easter, they decided not to attend the Royal Family ’s traditional Easter Sunday service at Windsor Castle – an event they have been at many times in the past.

A source told The Sun: “The Royal Family needs good news and nothing unites like a big church wedding. Beatrice is going, and Eugenie is in the second trimester of her pregnancy but hopes to attend. The King always wanted both to remain part of the family. “He made it clear they are welcome at family events.”

It comes amid reports Beatrice’s parents have not been invited to the wedding – nor has Prince Harry, who is embroiled in a feud with brother William, who is expected to attend.

A source told Hello!: “Peter and Harry haven’t spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn’t been invited.” The Mirror has contacted Mr Phillips’ spokesperson for comment.

Mr Phillips, the late Queen’s eldest grandchild and a nephew of King Charles, announced his engagement to mum-of-one Harriet in August.

The 48-year-old, who is 19th in line to the throne, was previously married to Autumn Kelly, with whom he has two daughters, Isla and Savannah. He also dated long-term partner Lindsay Wallace before they split in 2024, and he later found love with Harriet, an NHS paediatric nurse, who has a teenage daughter called Georgia.

The summer wedding will take place on Saturday, June 6, in a private ceremony at All Saints Church, Kemble in Cirencester. They first made their debut as a couple in the summer of 2024 when they both appeared together at the Badminton Horse Trials, where Harriet mingled with Anne, sister-in-law to be Zara, as well as Queen Camilla.

Last June, they appeared at Royal Ascot together, where Harriet, who has also previously been married, made her debut in one of the carriages during the royal procession – with the move being seen as a significant sign of her moving into the royal fold.

Just weeks later, the pair announced their engagement after Peter proposed with a stunning diamond ring, designed by the same jeweller who made the late Queen’s engagement ring.

Peter married his first wife, Autumn back in May 2008 in a grand ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, with guests including the late Queen and Prince Philip as well as his cousin Prince Harry. Although Prince William was unable to make it, the Princess of Wales was invited, despite being unmarried at the time – and it is believed the wedding marked the first time she met the late Queen.
