Brooklyn Beckham has missed yet another family celebration – choosing to hang out with wife Nicola Peltz instead – despite still being close with his grandparents
Brooklyn Beckham missed his grandad’s 80th birthday bash last night in the latest instalment of his estranged family saga. While the rest of the Beckham clan came together to celebrate Victoria Beckham’s dad Tony’s milestone, the 27-year-old was again, nowhere to be seen.
Instead his wife Nicola Peltz, 31, posted snaps of them in a salon as she got her hair done. Calling Brooklyn her ‘best friend’ the heiress – whose dad is billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz – told her 3.4 million Instagram followers: “My best friend took me to the salooon.”
Later on the pair – who recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary – drank glasses of white wine as they had a chilled night in on the sofa. In another snap Nicola shared how Brooklyn had bought her a huge bouquet of pink roses with a note saying ‘Love Brooklyn’. In response she wrote in her stories: ‘ilym [I love you more] @brooklynpeltzbeckham.’
The Mirror exclusively revealed back in January that Brooklyn had stayed in contact with his grandparents despite falling out with the rest of his family. At the time a source said: “While things between him and his parents are over, Brooklyn is still very fond of his grandparents. There is a lot of love for them, and that has never faltered.”
It’s believed Brooklyn still follows his grandparents on social media, but at the time of writing he hadn’t posted a birthday tribute to his Grandad Tony. The last time he publicly acknowledged his family was last June, when he posted online: “Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much.” The Mirror has reached out to Brooklyn’s reps for further comment on this story.
Meanwhile, mum Victoria, 52, pulled out all the stops for her dad’s special day. In a series of party snaps posted to her own Instagram feed she was seen wearing a silky baby blue gown as she sweetly hugged her father following a night of celebrations that looked to include a posh dinner and dancing.
Husband David, 51, and their other children – sons Romeo, 23 and Cruz, 21, and 14-year-old daughter Harper – were also dressed up to the nines and looked to be having a great time.
Their boys’ glamorous girlfriends were also in attendance. Model and DJ Kim Turnbull, 24, was pictured cuddling up to other half Romeo. While Cruz was seen sweetly planting a kiss on 30-year-old songwriter Jackie Apostel’s cheek.
Captioning the family snaps, Victoria wrote: “Such an amazing night celebrating my wonderful dad. Thank you to all our friends and family we love you so much!! Happy 80th birthday, we love you so so much! xxx”.
She added in her stories: “Happy birthday daddy, we love you so so much! Thank you to all our friends and family who helped to make it so special! xxx.’
Other big family moments Brooklyn has missed recently include dad David’s 50th birthday celebrations. The last time he was pictured at an event with his parents and siblings was back in September 2024 when he and Nicola attended Victoria’s fashion show in Paris.
Since then there have been several attempts by his estranged family members to get in touch with Brooklyn. But in December youngest brother Cruz took to Instagram to set the record straight after a story was published in the Daily Mail that David and Victoria had unfollowed with oldest son.
Sharing a pic of the story, Cruz wrote: “NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son … Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I.”
A source added to the Mirror: “David and Victoria will never give up trying to secure a reconciliation between them and their son. Nothing will change that, and they live in hope. He will always be their son, and they are not going to stop putting on record their feelings.”
