Twisha Sharma’s MIL Says She Took ‘Schizophrenic, MTP’ Meds, Calls Her Dad Strange, ‘She Destroyed’

Former Miss Pune, who was also an actress, Twisha Sharma’s shocking incident left everyone shocked to the core. Which was supposed to be the best phase of her life, turned out to be an absolute nightmare, as Twisha passed away only 5 months after her marriage. Twisha met Samarth Singh on a dating app, and they started dating. In December 2025, Twisha married Samarth Singh in a grand wedding soiree.

 It was just five months later that Twisha’s world turned upside down, and she passed away. Twisha’s parents have made shocking allegations, including Samarth Singh using drugs, and her last chats have also been surfacing on social media, wherein she had spoken about feeling trapped.

Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law speaks about her MTP

The post-mortem report suggested that Twisha passed away due to hanging; however, her parents appealed for a fresh post-mortem report at AIIMS Delhi. Amid this, Twisha’s mother-in-law’s shocking claims also surfaced. Speaking to ANI, Twisha’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, who is also a retired judge, revealed that Twisha had undergone a medical termination of pregnancy and regretted starting the process. 

Giribala shared that when Twisha first started the MTP, she said that she wanted to reverse the process. She further mentioned that her late DIL didn’t let them feel the fleeting moment of joy. She further shared the timeline of the medical process that Twisha was undergoing. As per Giribala on May 7, 2026, Twisha had taken the MTP medicine and completed the entire procedure, and the family, she claimed, supported her throughout. As per Giribala Singh:

“When she (Twisha) started the first course of the MTP, she said she wanted to reverse this, which I knew was not possible. She didn’t let us feel that fleeting moment of joy. It is truly heartbreaking; young girls often take this drastic step. On May 7, she must have taken the pill; she completed the entire MTP procedure, and we had to support her.”

Twisha Sharma’s MIL calls the former’s father a ‘strange personality’

In the same interview, Twisha’s mother-in-law revealed that they called her mom, as she needed to be there. She claimed that Twisha’s parents remained distant and never visited their daughter for five months. As per Giribala, Twisha’s father is ‘strange’, who has been working with a pharmaceutical company. She mentioned that Twisha’s father could be a potential source of a whole lot of things, and she believed that the family was earning through the late actress. Giribala could be quoted as saying:

“For five months, her parents never visited. We deliberately did not call her father, as he has a very strange personality. For nearly twenty years, he has been working in the pharmaceutical industry–specifically in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan; he could potentially be the source of many things. I think they were earning out of all her. But the matter is sub judice.”

Twisha Sharma’s MIL alleges that the former took schizophrenic medicines

Apart from all these claims, Twisha’s mother-in-law also made another shocking claim, as she stated that the late actress underwent psychiatric counselling and she was given the medicines that are often prescribed to schizophrenic patients. She also detailed Twisha’s condition, alleging that she would be stable for one day, and the next day only, there would be changes in her, with physical symptoms like trembling hands. Giribala stated that her daughter-in-law destroyed everything. She could be quoted as saying:

“It’s a profound loss for us because, whatever the circumstances, she was a part of our family… She went for psychiatric counselling also, and medicines were prescribed to her, which are given to a schizophrenic patient… She would remain stable for a day or so, but then again, there would be a slight change in her condition. We observed some physical symptoms, a slight trembling in her hands, which is typical of withdrawal symptoms… She destroyed everything…”

Twisha Sharma’s last texts to her mother surfaced

Twisha was found hanging at her residence in Bhopal’s Katara Hills area; however, her family denied the suicide angle and claimed that she had been murdered, while accusing her husband and mother-in-law of domestic violence, mental and physical abuse. Amid this entire case hitting the headlines, Twisha’s last messages to her mom surfaced. In the texts, she told her mom that she was being asked about her unborn baby’s father. When her mom was seen asking her to ignore these, as per the alleged texts, she revealed that her in-laws had crossed every limit.
