Hyderabad:A special investigation team (SIT) led by joint commissioner N. Swetha is probing fake news being circulated on social media about Union minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s alleged offer to induce the judiciary to granting bail to his son Sai Bageerath in the Pocso Act case.
A social media user identified as Damodar, who allegedly posted and circulated the fake news has reportedly been detained. The SIT took up the case based on a complaint filed by the High Court Registrar with the Charminar police on May 17. Sources said that after investigation, the SIT would be registering a case against others for circulating fake news in relation to the case.
