Man arrested over Katanning teacher’s mystery death
WA Police have charged a man in relation to the mystery death of a Katanning high school teacher.
Luke Russell, 49, was found dead on Marri Road early in the morning on May 13.
A 26-year-old man has since been charged with failing to stop and render assistance after an incident occasioning death, failing to report an incident occasioning death, and no authority to drive.
He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
Teen charged over assault of elderly lollipop man
An 18-year-old man has been charged with assaulting a school crossing warden in Rossmoyne yesterday morning.
The 87-year-old lollipop man was allegedly pushed to the ground, and his whistle and hat stolen by a teenager who then left the scene.
Vision of the incident was released by WA Police yesterday in an attempt to identify the culprit.
An 18-year-old from the neighbouring suburb of Shelley has since been charged with one count of stealing and one count of assaulting a public officer.
He is due to appear in Armadale Magistrates Court next month.
