Lewis Hamilton made a bold entrance to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve paddock on Friday morning, arriving on a spectacular Ducati Panigale V4 superbike ahead of FP1 and sprint qualifying.
The seven-time Formula 1 champion is no stranger to making statements off track, but his chosen transport for the Montreal sprint weekend immediately caught the attention of fans.
Seasoned fans quickly noticed that Hamilton had arrived on the exact same model of Italian superbike for the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix. It appears the 215-horsepower machine has firmly become the Ferrari F1 driver’s preferred runaround for the Île Notre-Dame.
Weighing 187kg and boasting an 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, the bike delivers 120.9 Nm of torque and can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.1 seconds.
“Hamilton arriving for practice still feels like a main-event entrance even before the car hits the track. Some drivers just carry that aura everywhere they go,” one fan commented on Reddit as photos of Hamilton emerged on social media with the Panigale V4.
“Gotta agree, dude is still the GOAT when it comes to making entrances,” someone else wrote, while another questioned: “So does his team reach out to a local dealer and ask for a bike? Wonder how it works because I doubt he has them transported to the grand prix.”
Other reactions included: “I hope he did the Akira slide riding that bike,” and “Wow. I rarely admire his arrivals (I am not a style expert, do not blame me), but this looks super cool!”
This followed Hamilton’s striking entrance to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve paddock on media day in an all-white Loewe look.
Hamilton went on to secure P5 on the Canadian GP sprint race starting grid, with his Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc starting beside him in sixth.
