There’s nothing better than a handheld fan for keeping you cool on the go in hot weather, and Stacey Solomon has been raving about her misting one that she says is ‘so underrated’
Temperatures are rapidly rising, and whether you’re staying in the U or jetting off abroad, trying to keep cool is top of our priority list. Whilst at home you can set up standing fans, open windows or run some air conditioning, when you’re out and about it’s much harder to keep cool.
However, Stacey Solomon has been raving about one of her favourite purchases, and it’s perfect for keeping you cool and comfortable on the go. On Instagram, Stacey showed off her Shark ChillPill 3-in-1 Fan, Mist and InstaChill System saying it’s “Actually the best thing ever” and adding: “This is so underrated. Genius.”

Unlike a typical handheld fan, which simply cools the air and blows it at you, the Shark ChillPill also has a misting setting which lightly spritzes water whilst blowing cold air, helping to cool you down even quicker than usual. You just need to fill up the small water tank and it can be used whenever you need an extra burst of cooling in the heat.
It also features an InstaChill cooling plate, which instantly cools you on contact and can reduce skin temperature by up to 9°C. This is perfect for popping on your neck, forehead or wrists when you want an instant cool down.
The Shark ChillPill has a portable design which fits in your bag or even in your pocket making it ideal for travel, and it’s International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) compliant so you can bring it in your hand luggage. You can also pick it up in six different colours and buy accessories and attachments for it, so you can customise it however you want.
Stacey did mention that it’s a little pricier than some of her usual recommendations, with the Shark ChillPill priced at £129.99, although she does say she thinks it’s worth the cost. You can pick up a budget-friendly option with the Handheld Rechargeable Spray Fan which is just £9.89, and although it doesn’t have the same sleek design as the Shark one, it does offer a similar misting set up.
If you want a hands-free option, the Portable Neck Fan with Cooling Plate is great for when you’re sightseeing, carrying bags or need your hands free for your children. It’s currently on sale for £32.99, and sits around your neck with a cooling plate that makes contact with your neck and a powerful fan which blows cold air around your face and neck.
But although the Shark ChillPill is pricier, it’s been a huge hit with shoppers who’ve bought it. One said: “The Shark ChillPill 3-in-1 is compact, lightweight, and very useful in hot weather. The fan, mist, and cooling function work well together and provide quick relief. Overall, it’s a practical and convenient device for travel and everyday use.”
Another wrote: “This is great little versatile fan. Brilliant for menopausal women! Would highly recommend.”
Whilst a third said: “I hands down didn’t expect to love this as much as I do! Its super handy and perfect for me and look forward to using it during summer. The cooling plate is my favourite part, i love how I’ll instantly feel cool. It’s light, easy to carry around and the battery seems to last well too. Best fan I’ve ever had.”
One did say, however: “Received this as a product to test and so happy with it – powerful, great size and cools the room down. Only criticism would be the noise it produces is quite loud.”
And another agreed the Shark ChillPill was: “ Kind of a flop because of the noise.”
However, others absolutely loved it saying: “ One of the best cooling gadgets I have ever tried I find going to bed at night very uncomfortable because I get very hot even the winter. I wake up hot and sweaty and find it hard to sleep . This gave me the best night sleep ever I put it on my headboard. and feel cool. All night.”
