Shoaib Ibrahim’s Father Admitted To The ICU After Suffering Stroke, ‘Next 24 Hours Are Crucial…’

Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar’s family are going through a tough phase. A while back, Shoaib took to his Instagram to share that his father had suffered a stroke this morning on May 23, 2026. Earlier, in 2021, the TV actor’s father had suffered a brain stroke. The Ibrahim family never confirmed a complete recovery. They have been facing a lot of health issues. Dipika has been battling with liver cancer for almost a year now.

Shoaib Ibrahim’s father had been admitted to the ICU after suffering a stroke

A while back, the Sasural Simar Ka actor took to his Instagram Stories and shared that his father again had a stroke this morning on May 23, 2026. Shoaib mentioned that his father has been admitted to the ICU. He highlighted that the next 24 hours are crucial. He requested his fans to pray for his father’s speedy recovery. He wrote:

“Need all your prayers & duas for Papa. Papa again had a stroke this morning and has been admitted to the ICU. Please, please keep him in your prayers. Next 24hrs are crucial.”

Shoaib Ibrahim’s father previously suffered a brain stroke in 2021

On July 25, 2021, the Sasural Simar Ka actor’s father suffered a brain stroke and was rushed to the hospital. The actor took to his Instagram Stories to share the following. Urging his fans to pray for his father’s speedy recovery, Shoaib wrote:

“Need your prayers & strength once again!! Papa had a brain stroke this morning and is in the ICU presently!! Please, please aap sab dua kijiyega ki Allah unhe theek kar dein.”

Later, on July 27, 2021, Shoaib took to his Instagram stories to share the health updates of his father. The TV actor revealed that his father had suffered a brain haemorrhage earlier, but this time a brain clot has left him partially paralysed. Following this, Shoaib had been sharing health updates about his father through his vlogs and social media posts. He had also shifted his father to his own house, where he, along with his wife, Dipika Kakar and caretaker Dev, took care of him.

Dipika Kakar’s health update

In May 2025, Dipika Kakar was diagnosed with a tennis ball-sized tumour in her liver and underwent a 14-hour surgery. Later, in March 2026, a cyst reoccurred, and for that, Dipika also underwent surgery. However, in April 2026, Dipika’s scan reports showed two new cysts had appeared. In Shoaib’s vlog, the TV couple shared the news, revealing that the two cysts are very small for now and cannot be treated. Shoaib mentioned that from April 20, 2026, Dipika had begun undergoing immunotherapy. Shoaib said:

“We went for an MRI last Monday. Since then, hospital visits were frequent because on the MRI, two small cysts were seen. The cysts are so small that they wouldn’t have been seen in a CT scan, but since MRI is sensitive, they were spotted.”

Dipika mentioned that as the cysts are very small, the doctors cannot take action on them. Through repeated scans, the cysts are being monitored closely. She added, “They are very small now, so we cannot take any action on them for now. We will repeat this scan after a month. It has become like a routine now; we have to get scans done frequently. We have to keep a close watch; God forbid if anything is seen in the scans, we can immediately treat it, like we did with the cyst recently.”
