Princess Anne’s son will be tying the knot with Harriet Sperling in just two weeks, with Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie reportedly being included in the guest list
After months of staying out of the limelight after their parents’ involvement in the Epstein scandal, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are reportedly just weeks away from joining the Royal Family for a major event.
A host of senior royals have been invited to the wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling, who will be tying the knot in Cirencester on Saturday June 6. Among the expected guests are King Charles, Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. Reports have claimed that Beatrice and Eugenie will also be in attendance, while their disgraced parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, will not.

If Beatrice and Eugenie, who is pregnant with her third child, do decide to attend, it would be the first time they have been seen with their royal relatives since the release of the Epstein files in January, where more claims came to light about their parents’ association with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
And according to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, there is likely to be much publicity surrounding the royal sisters’ attendance, but the happy couple will still be the focus of attention.
Jennie told the Mirror : “There will inevitably be some interest in Beatrice and Eugenie if they are guests at the wedding, but not enough to detract from the bride and groom in any major way. They are first cousins of Peter and have always had a good relationship.
“I don’t think Peter would feel that the alleged sins of Andrew and Sarah should be visited on their daughters, who have not been accused of doing anything wrong.”
Beatrice and Eugenie have reportedly been struggling behind closed doors as revelations about their parents continue to come to light, but as Jennie explained, King Charles has vowed to maintain a relationship with his nieces and the rest of the Royal Family are likely to be supportive.
“Beatrice and Eugenie are going through an incredibly tough time in their lives, and I think their wider family is determined to stay true to their promise that the women will always be included,” Jennie said.
While Beatrice and Eugenie may have made the guest list, their cousin Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have reportedly not been invited to the wedding. The royal expert believes there is one major reason why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not been included in the guest list: to not draw attention away from the happy occasion.
Jennie said: “Wedding guest lists are so often a nightmare! Who to include, who to leave out? Who will be offended? And the biggest no-no is to take attention away from the bride on her big day.
“That’s undoubtedly what would happen if Harry, with or without Meghan, came to Peter and Harriet’s wedding. So it seems they have taken the most sensible course, which is to leave the Sussex‘s off the guest list, along with uncle Andrew and his ex, Sarah.”
The royal expert continued: “I think Harry will understand, but he used to be close to his cousin, Peter, and it’s only natural that he will feel rather excluded on such a big occasion. It’s a sad situation, but until or unless the rift is mended, Harry is likely to find himself left out of any big family gathering.”
