NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the distribution of over 51,000 appointment letters under the Rozgar Mela reflects the government’s commitment to creating opportunities for youth.

Addressing newly appointed candidates virtually, he said, “In the years to come, all of you will play a crucial role in realizing the vision of a ‘Vikasit Bharat’.”
The Prime Minister said India’s international partnerships are designed to benefit young people by expanding employment and global exposure. “The purpose is that India’s youth get employment and global exposure,” he said.
He said the recruits would contribute to national development across sectors such as railways, banking, defence, health, and education, and reiterated that the Rozgar Mela reflects efforts to empower youth.
Referring to his recent visit to five countries, Modi said global leaders and corporations had expressed interest in India’s technological progress and willingness to be part of its development. “The world wants to be a part of India’s development journey,” he said.
He outlined agreements and discussions held with various countries in sectors including semiconductors, agriculture, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, digital innovation, green technology, critical minerals, and science and technology.
The Prime Minister said such collaborations would generate employment opportunities, adding that investments and technology partnerships would create new avenues for youth. “These are the sectors that will shape industries defining global growth for the next 25 years,” he said.
Highlighting specific partnerships, he said agreements in semiconductors, artificial intelligence, energy, and infrastructure would strengthen India’s capabilities and create jobs. “This single ASML–Tata Electronics agreement alone will create thousands of new employment opportunities in India,” he said.
He said collaboration in clean energy, green technology, and sustainable manufacturing would position India in emerging sectors. “These partnerships are opening the doors of a new economy and new opportunities,” he said.
Referring to infrastructure and maritime agreements, he said these would expand opportunities for engineers, technicians, and skilled workers. “New opportunities will be created for India’s engineers, technicians, and skilled workers,” he said.
The Prime Minister said global partnerships would also benefit startups, researchers, and professionals, adding that innovation and scale were driving India’s growth. “The greatest force behind this transformation is India’s youth, all of you,” he said.
He said investments across sectors were generating employment and contributing to the goal of a developed India by 2047. “This investment is creating millions of new employment opportunities for the country’s youth,” he said.
Calling for support to business and enterprise, he said, “Ease of Doing Business is a great priority for the country.”
He also highlighted infrastructure development, stating that improved connectivity was extending the benefits of growth to rural areas. “When villages and remote areas connect with development, the benefit of the country’s progress reaches more people,” he said.
He said expansion in railways, highways, airports, logistics, and digital networks was creating opportunities across sectors, including for farmers, traders, and students. “Change is visibly occurring rapidly even in villages,” he said.
He added that opportunities available to youth today across sectors were unprecedented. “The opportunities India’s youth have today to fulfil their dreams were never there before,” he said.
