Hyderabad: Six persons including a woman were arrested for allegedly transporting and selling 16.230 kg of ganja worth `16 lakh on Chapel Road here on Saturday. Excise enforcement circle inspector Mahesh the staff in a tip off intercepted a car and found the contraband.
The arrested accused were Mahmood Khan, Chand Bai, Bismillah Khan, Sk Mujahid, Tajuddin Khan, all residents of Nampally, the supplier Ghulam Rasool from Odisha. During interrogation, Rasool reportedly confessed that he transported the contraband from Odisha in a car to supply local peddlers.
