Tirupati: A one-year-old female leopard was successfully rescued from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University in Tirupati without the use of tranquilizers and with minimal disturbance, officials said on Monday.
The operation was carried out by the HANUMAN (Healing And Nurturing Units for Monitoring, Aid & Nursing of Wildlife) team under the directions of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Authorities ensured the safety of students, staff, and the animal during the rescue process.
The leopard has been safely shifted to Sri Venkateswara Zoo Park for medical examination. Officials stated that the operation highlights the government’s commitment to wildlife conservation and public safety.
