After delivering a blockbuster film, Major in 2022, Adivi Sesh set out to work on two projects at a time, Dacoit and G2. But the writing took longer than expected. The completion of the script for the two films was followed by back-to-back production schedules. To ensure that Dacoit was ready for a Summer 2026 release, Sesh worked restlessly for a year. Now that the romantic action thriller has been released in theatres to an encouraging response, he has earned his break. The actor, originally from the US, is heading back to his home country for a holiday. “The shooting itinerary has been hectic in the last few months. I have been constantly shooting Dacoit and Goodachari 2. I believe this break is needed not just physically, but psychologically as well,” the actor-writer shares, adding that relentless schedules kept him from “taking it all in.”

Sesh is in a relaxed zone, with Dacoit succeeding at the box office. Starring Mrunal Thakur as his love interest and Anurag Kashyap as a cop, the film was shot separately in two languages. “I wanted to celebrate this BO victory with our family and closest friends. Honestly, there is no better way to do that than by just spending some quality time together,” Sesh says.
Goodachari 2 (G2) to be ready for a late-2026 release
After returning to India, Sesh will be back to work. G2, a spy action thriller that will continue the story of the protagonist on an overseas mission to fight for his country, will be wrapped up fast. ” I know I have my task cut out, so I’d like to jump into it with rejuvenated spirit. Stepping back can be just as powerful as pushing forward,” the Kshanam and Evaru said Sesh, adding that this break is an intentional pause. As Sesh enjoys a chance to breathe, be fully present, and return stronger, expectations about G2 are high among fans of spy films. Emraan Hashmi, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jisshu Sengupta, Prakash Raj and others will be seen in important roles in the Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi directorial.
