What will happen in Off Campus Season 2?

In Off Campus, fans were left in awe when they watched ‘Hannah Wells’ and ‘Garrett Graham’s’ happy ending. In Season 1, the audience also got a glimpse of ‘Hannah’s’ best friend, ‘Allie Hayes’ (played by Mika Abdalla) and her friends-with-benefits relationship with hockey star, ‘Dean Di Laurentis’ (played by Stephen Kalyn). According to the latest reports, Off Campus Season 2 will focus on ‘Allie’ and ‘Dean.’ 

Speaking about the following, in an interview with Variety, showrunner, Louisa Levy shared that in Season 2, ‘Allie’ and ‘Dean’ will untangle their secret friends-with-benefits relationship. Louisa mentioned that she wanted the audience to start guessing who they were going to be tuning in for next after ‘Hannah Wells’ and ‘Garrett Graham’ found their happy ending. She was quoted as saying:

“I wanted viewers to know who they were going to be tuning in for next. Allie felt so organic, because she’s Hannah’s best friend and Dean is already there, and their love story in the book is a secret—so why not let it be a surprise, even to book fans, when we’re going to launch it? Some things had to work a little differently because of the timing and the way we platform them. But I promise all the fan-favourite things are still intended and planned. There’s still a lot of road with those two.”

However, when reports surfaced claiming that Off Campus Season 2 will focus on a different couple and their love story, people became curious whether ‘Hannah’ and ‘Garrett’ are returning with Season 2. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner, Louisa Levy confirmed that the duo are indeed returning with Season 2. But there is a twist to the story. Yes, you read it right. Louisa mentioned that although the OG couple is returning, Season 2 will not focus on their love story. In her words:

“Hannah and Garrett are still in season 2. They’re still gonna be part of it, but their love story is not the thing that’s driving the season anymore. We will always have a happily ever after of some kind, and then we’ll also have another love story that’s left hanging.”

In Off Campus Season 2, Ella Bright as ‘Hannah Wells,’ Belmont Cameli as ‘Garrett Graham,’ Mika Abdalla as ‘Allie Hayes,’ Stephen Kalyn as ‘Dean Di Laurentis,’ and Antonio Cipriano as ‘John Logan’ are returning. However, ‘Hannah’s’ crush, ‘John Kohl,’ played by Josh Heuston, is not returning with Season 2. Both showrunner, Louisa and Josh, have confirmed this fact. However, Season 2 has some new additions.

The Pitt fame, Jalen Thomas Brooks as ‘John Tucker,’ Julia Sarah Stones as ‘Jules,’ Khobe Clarke as ‘Beau Maxwell,’ Leave the World Behind star, Charlie Evans as ‘Hunter Davenport,’ India Fowler as ‘Grace Ivers,’ and Phillipa Soo as ‘Scarlett’ are joining the OG cast of Off Campus. According to the latest reports, Charlie, as ‘Hunter’, is the antagonist in Season 2. Speaking about the following, Louisa told Variety:

“He also comes from the same world as Dean, which made his arrival feel organic. We needed to throw a wrench into Dean and Allie’s arrangement to elongate their story, and pulling from that universe felt right.”
