Mrunal Thakur’s A&R sari made mint green look less sugary, more luminous. Made in tissue and organza, the sari featured dabka and sequin handwork across the fabric, giving the pale green base a fine shimmer. Styled by Anjali Chauhan and Snehal Pai, the look placed its heavier craft detail in the dupion silk blouse, where a dabka-and-sequin embroidery jaal sat across the deep U-neckline and short sleeves.

Against the lighter sari fabric, the blouse added the densest point of ornamentation while keeping the silhouette clean. Thakur wore the look wbindiith bangles, a choker and chandelier earrings from Joolry. A small stone bindi sat above matte skin, full lashes and pink lips by makeup artist Lochan Thakur, while Deepali Deokar styled her hair in loose curls.

From Vogue’s fashion desk:

“Ditch the fine jewellery and go for a look that works for a Sunday summer garden soirée. Opt for a linen pastel green sari paired with a sleeveless blouse. You can go for a sari with small floral embroidery or print and keep the jewellery paired down to your everyday easy separates,” says Divya Balakrishnan, Vogue India fashion associate.
