The 82-year-old model, who was married to the Beatles legend from 1966 to 1977, says filmmakers never contacted her despite casting White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood to play her in the Sam Mendes project

Pattie Boyd has blasted the makers of the highly anticipated Beatles biopic – claiming no one contacted her about the massive four-film project starring Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn, Barry Keoghan and Harris Dickinson as the Fab Four.

The Sixties model, 82, who was married to George Harrison from 1966 to 1977, has launched a stinging attack on the film’s director Sam Mendes and his team for not consulting her on her character, who will be played by The White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood, 32.

“I heard that this girl, this actress, is going to be playing me,” Pattie said in a new interview. “I might be completely wrong, but I would have thought it would be polite to mention it to me, or let me know if they’ve got someone who’s going to be playing me. Wouldn’t you think they’d let me know? But I haven’t been contacted by anyone.”

The iconic muse – who inspired The Beatles’ Something and her second husband Eric Clapton’s Layla and Wonderful Tonight – claims she could have shared explosive tales from inside the Fab Four’s inner circle, but believes the filmmakers simply don’t want the truth.

“I could have really told them great stories, but I don’t think they want to know,” she said. “I think they want to create something that’s completely different, like a different story. The filmmaker’s creation of what they think had happened. Nothing to do with the truth, nothing to do with what really happened, because they didn’t want to talk to anyone that was there.”

At one point, Pattie – now married to property developer Rod Weston – claimed she couldn’t remember the director’s name. “Somebody said he was famous. Apparently he’s famous, this man,” she added. “But maybe I’m just old fashioned, you see? People don’t really have manners anymore.”

Oscar-winning director Sam is helming the ambitious project, titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, with each film focusing on one band member. Production began earlier this year with all four films set for release in April 2028.

Joseph, 35, will play George, Paul, 29, will take on Paul, Harris, 29, will play John and Barry, 32, will portray Ringo.

Saoirse Ronan, 31, will play Linda McCartney, while Shogun star Anna Sawai, 32, has been cast as Yoko Ono.

Pattie also lifted the lid on what it was really like being married to a Beatle during the height of their fame, revealing the Fab Four’s wives couldn’t trust other women.

“Any woman that would come into our environment didn’t really want to meet us or talk to us,” she recalled. “They wanted to chat to The Beatles. And of course they were all flattered that all these girls wanted to talk to them and get close to them.”

She also claimed George, who died of cancer aged 58 in 2001, would sometimes get jealous of her. “George was rather upset one time when I was on the cover of one of the newspapers, because I was wearing whatever I was wearing, something mad, and he couldn’t believe that they would put me on the paper and not him,” she said. “Jealousy comes in many, many different forms. It’s very odd.”

Pattie later married Eric, now 81, in 1979 before divorcing in 1989 – but recently attended one of his concerts and was left swooning.

“I think I’ve fallen in love again,” she added on The Church Studio Presents Miss O’Dell podcast. “I went to see Eric play at our local theatre in Guildford, in Surrey, and he was unbelievable. He was so brilliant. He looked amazing, very chic, and wore a great suit, and his guitar playing was tip-top. I couldn’t believe it. It was the most exciting night.”
