Moizuddin Murder: 4 More Supari Gang Members Arrested in Goa; SUV Driver Claims ₹10Cr Bounty Offer

Hyderabad: Special teams probing into senior advocate Khaja Moizuddin’s murder on May 23 have arrested another four supari gang members from Goa. Fingerprint experts and Clues team members collected evidence from the SUV used to excuted Moizuddin. The vehicle had been found abandoned on the Ibrahimpatnam bypass road.

Sources said 11 persons were murdered in the execution of Moizuddin, who was moved down by a black SUV early in the morning. Mujahid Alam Khan and his father Mahbub Alam Khan have been listed as “suspected accused” by the police and were picked up from Bengaluru, sources said.

The accused initially wanted to portray the murder as a hit-and-run road accident, sources said.

Vinay Goud, the SUV driver, has reportedly alleged during his statement to the police that Mujahid Alam Khan and two others had promised him `10 crore and land after the murder of Moizuddin.

Police teams formed for the investigation of the murder arrested four accused in Goa in connection with this case. City police commissioner V.C Sajjanar is expected to make an official statement on the progress of investigations into the case.

Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has registered a case in connection with the murder, sources said.

No political angle in senior advocate’s murder: DGP

DGP C.V. Anand on Tuesday confirmed that there was “no political angle” in the murder of Wakf activist and High Court advocate Khaja Moizuddin. “The entire conspiracy has been busted. Very soon, you will hear the details,” the DGP said. Anand said that city police commissioner V. C. Sajjanar would be disclosing the case details officially, after the statements of the accused were recorded.
