While some Chargers fans had issues with Justin Herbert missing voluntary team workouts this month to vacation with Madison Beer in Europe, his head coach certainly did not.
During a meeting with media members on Wednesday, Jim Harbaugh revealed he was actually stoked to see his quarterback take some time away from work to show love to his pop star girlfriend as she kicked off her “Locket Tour” overseas.

“I was happy he went to support Madison on her music tour,” Harbaugh said. “Madison supports him at the football games. He told me he wasn’t gonna be here for those two weeks and my first reaction was, ‘Do you need a ride to the airport?’”
While catching Beer’s performances throughout the month of May, Herbert also took in a Harry Styles concert and also cruised around some foreign cities.
Harbaugh said he loved seeing Herbert enjoy new experiences, noting to reporters the QB has always “been somebody that is just here all the time.”
“There’s times I’ve wanted to shoo him out of the building,” Harbaugh said. “He’s at every voluntary, every non-voluntary workout. Same guy that broke his hand and he was here the next day practicing. The next game, stiff arming guys. So, yeah, I was happy. Happy. You know, good balance. Good balance.”
Following Harbaugh’s presser, the Chargers shared photos of Herbert from his return to Bolts practice fields, and he looked to enjoy being back with his teammates while in an all-white uniform.
“he’s here + he’s perfect,” the Chargers captioned the picture.
Beer is still across the pond performing — she has shows in Belgium, London and Manchester slated for this week.
However, it won’t be long before she and Herbert are reunited — her tour will make its way to the United States beginning next month.
