Katie Price has revealed the blunt message she gave to husband Lee Andrews during their first brief chat in two weeks since he went missing in Dubai
Katie Price has opened up for the first time about how she tracked down her missing husband Lee Andrews.
The former glamour model revealed that Lee had been found on Wednesday after a brief phone call from a Dubai jail where he is currently incarcerated. On her podcast released on Thursday, she gushed: “Today was the day, which is why I’m happy, Lee has been found. Alive. Woop.”
After an audible sigh from sister Sophie, Katie said: “All I know is that, they thought he was a spy so he was interrogated.”
Sophie again interrupted to joke if they thought he was heartthrob James Bond, before sternly saying her sister’s man is certainly not her type. Katie went on to thank the police and foreign embassy for their support throughout the ordeal, saying it had been “a worry” to her.
Katie also revealed the blunt message she told her man in the brief chat, admitting he is the “most hated man in Britain”. She said the claim shocked her man and she told him: “Trust me, you are the most hated man in Britain. Everyone thinks this is a scam.”
She revealed Lee asked if she thought he was dead and she explained it was on her mind as she didn’t have a clue what was going on.
Katie admitted she only got to talk to Lee for one minute and was told he was interrogated and had a hood on him. “That’s all I know,” she said.
“Oh, I did ask him,” she said about his apparent phone activity. “He hasn’t been on his phone. He hasn’t had his phone. He’s been interrogated. They’ve gone through his phone, so they’ve been mucking about on his phone. It’s not been Lee. He hasn’t got his phone.”
Sophie asked about the other woman Lee followed, but Katie denied Lee was behind this. She told her sister: “What happened with that other woman was apparently she activated her account and maybe she followed Lee or Lee followed her years ago.
“They’ve never exchanged messages or nothing. So she’s blocked him and that’s why it’s gone back.”
But she claimed the “public deserve” to know what has gone on and is ready to demand her husband does a sit down interview to reveal all.
Katie then said she would make a “good detective” after tracking down her fourth husband. “You know I’ve wanted to be a paramedic,” she told her sister. “I might try and be a detective. They said ‘it’s not the same kind of money Kate, but…’
“They said I’ve helped so much, the way I think of about things and giving them clues which they obviously know from intelligence, that they actually said ‘do you know what Kate, we do a lot of these cases and you would be a good detective yourself’.”
Elsewhere, Sophie revealed their mum’s despair at Katie releasing a song for Lee during the search. She admitted their mum was “so p***ed off” when she heard the tune as Katie said she had recorded it for her.
Their dad’s reaction was similar, too. Sophie said she heard him listening to it upstairs and heard his groans of “oh my God”.
Despite revealing her worry, Katie claim her friends had noticed how upbeat she had been throughout the whole saga. And she put it down to her years of therapy helping to change her mindset and not let her be distracted by things out of her control.
