Hyderabad: As many as 14,434 cases were disposed of so far by the Telangana State Information Commission (TGIC), since its formation in May 2025.
It is clearing close to 1,200 cases every month. Around 1,100 old appeals and complaints lodged from 2014 to 2021 were also cleared.
The State Chief Information Commission G Chandrasekhar Reddy and Information Commissioners Borreddy Ayodhya Reddy, P.V. Srinivas, and Deshala Bhoopal met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on completing one year in office.
They explained in detail to the Chief Minister the activities and functioning of the RTI Commission. The commission conducted awareness camps in 20 districts apart from Hyderabad to improve awareness on the Right to Information (RTI) Act.
The awareness camps saw the participation of over 10,000 participants.
