Forty people involved in brawl at suburban soccer match

Police are investigating a brawl, reportedly involving up to 40 people, at a soccer match in Sydney’s south-west on Saturday.

About 3.30pm, emergency services responded to reports of a fight at an under-17s boys soccer match in a park on Iluka Street, Revesby.

NSW Ambulance officers treated a 47-year-old man at the scene before he was taken to Bankstown Hospital with minor facial injuries.

Bankstown police said they were told the fight broke out between players when a number of spectators entered the field of play.

No arrests have been made.
