Telangana HC Adjourns Till June 4 Plea Alleging Illegal Detention Of Advocate Murder Accused’s Kin

HYDERABAD: The vacation bench of the Telangana High Court on Saturday adjourned to June 4, a habeas corpus petition alleging illegal detention of family members of the accused in the murder case of senior advocate Khaja Moizuddin.

The division bench comprising Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka and Justice Vakiti Ramakrishna Reddy heard a petition filed by Syed Sadiq, seeking the production of the parents and relatives of the main accused Hasan Bin Ali Yafai and Muneeruddin.

The petitioner alleged that police had illegally detained and subjected to harassment several family members of Hasan Bin Ali Yafai since May 25. The individuals named in the petition included Hasan’s mother Akhtar Unnisa Begum, his wife Safina Khatun, brother Omer Bin Ali Yafai and a minor son.
