The man accused of killing his billionaire CEO father who died after plunging off a mountain has claimed a new video is proof that the 71-year-old’s death was an accident.

Jonathan Andic, 45, was arrested in Barcelona on May 19 as part of the investigation into the death of Mango CEO Isak Andic, who fell nearly 500 feet off a cliff during a hike on Dec 14, 2024 in the Montserrat mountains in Spain.

Lawyers for Andic have now released CCTV footage of the 71-year-old father tripping and falling while walking on a sidewalk outside of the Mutua Universal company in Barcelona, The Sun reported.

That clip shows the fashion company mogul gracelessly tumble forward just ten months before his fatal fall in 2024.

Video showed that the fashion company founder was prevented from a full wipe out by two men who caught him a split-second before his head hit the concrete.

Andic has maintained his innocence and is being held on bail just over $1 million and has had his passport revoked by Spanish authorities to prevent him from fleeing the country.

A judge’s orders claimed there was “sufficient evidence” that Jonathan killed his father in a premeditated manner, according to the AFP.

“I write these words with sincerity and humility, from the pain, helplessness and frustration of finding myself faced with a narrative of alleged guilt that does not correspond to reality,” he said in a statement reported by Euronews.

He went on to call the public narrative surrounding his father’s death “distorted” and claimed there is “a perception of guilt that bears no relation to reality.”

Andic was eyed as a suspect in his father’s death due to alleged conflict between statements to police and evidence at the scene.

Police also learned that the pair were in a dispute and believed that Jonathan had recently learned about a change in his father’s will.

Jonathan was named vice president of Mango’s holding company in January 2025, just six weeks after his father’s death.

The accused patricidal Spaniard is expected to appear before the court weekly as the investigation into Isak’s death is concluded.
