After signing Nikola Lukic from Novi Beograd, Radnicki has confirmed a new addition for the upcoming season.

Croatian goalkeeper Ivan Marcelic (32) will arrive in Kragujevac from Mladost Zagreb, the Serbian champion announced today.

An experienced goalkeeper has spent most of his career at Mladost, having played for Jadran Split for two seasons from 2022 to 2024.

Marcelic made his debut for the Croatian national team 12 years ago. His most significant achievements with the national team include winning a gold medal at the 2017 World Championships, a bronze medal at the 2019 World Championships, a bronze medal at the 2018 European Championship, and silver and bronze in the World League.

This year, he participated in the European Championships in Belgrade but was not called up for the World Cup Division 1. The World Cup marked a new chapter for the Croatian national team, with the rejuvenated team.

In November, Marcelic was named MVP of the Croatian Cup final, in which Mladost won the gold medal. Marcelic posted a total of 34 saves (17 in the semifinals against Jug and 17 in the final against Jadran). He has not yet finished the season with Mladost, as the Zagreb-based team will compete for the national title in the final against Jadran. However, in recent months, young Mauro Ivan Cubranic has been Mladost’s first-choice goalkeeper for most of the games.

As of today, two departures from Mladost have been confirmed. Centre-forward Luka Loncar will return to Olympiacos
