Zoe Ball shared sweet snaps of her family gathering as she was joined by ex-husband Norman Cook – AKA Fatboy Slim – and their daughter Nelly, 16, for a wedding celebration
Zoe Ball spent time with ex-husband Norman Cook and their bridesmaid daughter Nelly as she celebrated a friend’s wedding. The trio were together again over the weekend after it was revealed Nelly, 16, had moved in with her DJ dad, also known as Fatboy Slim.
The former Radio 2 star, 55, and her 62-year-old husband still have a close bond as they continue to co-parent their kids Woody, 25, and Nelly. And now Zoe has shared a selection of snaps and videos of their weekend on Instagram
The upload shows the trio enjoying her PR guru friend’s wedding in Dorset. Norman opted for a stylish grey suit for the occasion, while Zoe wore a cream dress. Bridesmaid Nelly was seen wearing a white maxi dress with a flower crown at Parnham Park.
Zoe captioned her Instagram post: “Congratulations Eva & James & Willow. We [red love heart emoji] you so much. The most perfect wedding celebration for our dear magic friends. Groomsmen, Bridesmaids & a few close folk to celebrate the Wedding.”
The BBC star had revealed last week how Nelly had moved in with her famous dad. She said the house felt “so quiet” following the move.
Zoe explained the situation on her Dig It podcast with Jo Whiley. She said her home had became noticeably quieter, telling her pal: “Mine’s so quiet, it’s like ugh! It’s less and less because Nel is based more at her dad’s now because I think she’s got to that point of, “Ah can I just be in one place?”
She went on: “All of her CSI revision notes are on the wall at her dads and it’s just [nice] not having to move from house to house, so she’s just spending more time there now.”
It comes after Norman had revealed to the Mirror prior to his BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend show that he had been helping his daughter with her studies. He told us before the show in Sunderland: “I’ve been building up [to performing the set].
“Well I’ve spent the last three weeks getting my daughter through GCSEs, so I’ve being off the road for three weeks so I’m like a caged tiger, ready to play. But also just being around a lot of shows I’ve just turned up just before a month.”
Opening up on the close family bond, he went on: “Yeah it’s great. I mean Woody lives in Bristol now so I don’t see him so much but me and Zoe still live up the road and we’re still really good friends and co-parents and yeah we’ve just been getting through her GCSEs at the moment.”
And he joked on the night: “She’s got a break of half term in her GCSE so she’s at a festival in Sussex where we live tonight. She doesn’t want to hang out with her dad on a night out.”
