Jordy Frahm is going from the mound to the baby bump.

A day after bowing out of the College Softball World Series with a second-round loss to fellow No. 1 seed Texas, the two-way Nebraska softball star, and her husband, Trey Frahm, announced she is pregnant with her first child.

“Our greatest blessing is on the way,” Frahm wrote on Instagram, “Baby Frahm coming December 2026.”

Frahm is coming off a stellar season for the Cornhuskers, lethal with both her bat and her arm. She became the first player in NCAA softball history to have 20 home runs and 20 wins in a single season.

That effort led to Frahm being named the National Player of the Year.

Frahm, born and raised in Papillion, Nebraska, started her collegiate career at Oklahoma in 2022, played a pivotal part of the Sooners’ two College Softball World Series titles. But after her second season, Frahm entered the transfer portal and returned home to Nebraska to be closer to family and help rebuild the program.

But her homecoming did not start as planned. In 2024, Frahm tore her ACL just two innings into her season. In 2025, she bounced back to lead Nebraska to the super regionals for the first time since 2014, where they were knocked out by Tennessee, even after winning the first game of a best-of-three.

This year, Nebraska went even further, thanks in large part to Frahm. In the Cornhuskers’ elimination game against Texas, staked the team to an early lead with a solo homer — and then carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning that was ended after a Texas three-run homer. Ultimately, Nebraska lost 3-1, ending her collegiate career.

“God’s fingerprints were all over this team, all over my story, all over my career. I do truly believe that the way today ended is a part of that story, as well,” Frahm said after the game. “I would just say the whole journey has been… not what I expected. Starting out at (Oklahoma), then transferring back home to Nebraska, getting hurt, all of that… Just so thankful for the journey and to finish it with this team.”
