The US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California released video of a 2,000ft (610m) long tunnel between border cities in Mexico and the United States. The tunnel was complete with electricity, reinforced walls, ventilation and a rail system, according to federal officials. It was discovered during a months-long investigation into a warehouse for a supposed discount store in San Diego.
Four people have been arrested and charged with trafficking more than $45 million in cocaine. All four men could face a maximum of life in prison if convicted.
