Post Malone has cut six dates from his upcoming Big A** Stadium Tour Part 2 with Jelly Roll, citing unfinished music and poor time management as the reason for the cancellations

Post Malone has delivered a blow to fans after suddenly scrapping six dates from his highly anticipated tour with Jelly Roll.

The star, whose legal name is Austin Richard Post, broke the news via his Instagram Stories, revealing he’d taken the difficult decision to cancel stops on his Big A– Stadium Tour Part 2 with Jelly Roll. The axed stadium performances included El Paso, Waco, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Tampa, and Oxford.

The announcement follows recent controversy surrounding Jelly Roll, who faced fierce criticism over comments perceived by many as pro-MAGA. However, Post Malone was quick to clarify that the cancellations had nothing to do with the backlash, instead citing scheduling issues. The news emerges after Taylor Swift disclosed his pet name for her during their surprising friendship.

In his statement, the 30 year old artist explained, “Looking at the upcoming schedule after stagecoach, I came to the realization that what we were trying to do, and what’s possible, isn’t really lining up. Truth is, I promised y’all beautiful people new music, and I don’t have the time to finish it before tour starts.”

He added, “We ain’t ready for tour just yet, so I’m making the decision to push the tour back about 3 weeks to get this music done. That being said, I’m so sorry to the folks who were planning on coming to the few canceled shows. I was looking forward to going nuts with y’all.” The What Don’t Belong to Me hitmaker issued an apology to fans who had already bought tickets and expressed his enthusiasm for his forthcoming album, The Eternal Buzz. The record will be his seventh studio effort and is set to include 40 tracks across two discs.

Following the announcement, disappointed fans flocked to a Reddit thread to voice their frustration over the postponement and Post Malone’s collaboration with Jelly Roll.

One disgruntled fan wrote: “I’m sorry? You’re pushing back a tour bc you didn’t finish your new music? How are you going to know any of it for the tour? Kind of sounds like the music is being rushed too. Only postponing by 3 weeks? Posty used to be good, smh.”

Another commented: “I’m not even getting into the MAGA of it all; I just would have more respect for these artists if they were upfront and said ‘Hey. This didn’t pan out like we expected and we haven’t filled enough seats.’ Everyone making up a different bulls–t excuse is annoying lol.”

A third person weighed in: “This is a result of not reading the room. People are poor, can’t afford food, social services are getting gutted left and right, and you are touring with a MAGA artist. We need to be a little smarter, Mr. Malone.” Yet another posted, “The excuses for these artists are annoying as f–k. ‘I’m not ready yet. I’m still making music.’ Then don’t f—–g plan a tour, you a–hole. And Meghan with her ‘I’m focusing on family.’ Really? Ya didn’t know you were having a whole a– baby? Again, don’t plan a tour if you’re heavily pregnant. Or just be honest.”
