Harper Beckham could be about to become richer than her parents with the launch of her beauty brand after teaming up with her mum Victoria’s most-trusted PR company
Harper Beckham could be about to become richer than her parents with the launch of her beauty brand. The budding businesswoman, 14, is the daughter of Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, who has gone on to head up her own fashion empire since her days as a pop star, and footballing legend David Beckham.
As the youngest child of the world-famous couple, who have a reported joint net worth of more than £1 billion, Harper has seen her elder brothers Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo all go off into showbiz in one way or another and whilst her mother is the driving force behind her new venture, and the teenager has joined forces with her mother’s PR company CGC Global, according to reports.
A source said: “Victoria is the boss and brains behind it all, but she trusts the company and what it’s done for her booming beauty brand. So it was a natural fit.”
The company, which was founded by Claire Goodwin, helped build Victoria Beckham Beauty into a global success and now it’s thought that HIKU by Harper could make her into a billionaire like Kylie Jenner, who launched a business empire after finding fame on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, another insider explained: “The target market for young girls wanting to buy beauty products is getting younger and younger, so this project of Harper’s is going to do amazingly. This is Harper’s way of making it in the world, and she might even follow in Kylie Jenner’s footsteps and out-fortune her parents.”
It comes after Victoria explained that the teen’s skincare struggles were behind her decision to start the range in the fist place.
Speaking to Emma Grede on her Aspire podcast, Victoria explained: “She used to have beautiful skin, but like all young girls she was enticed by beauty brands and she was putting a lot of product on her face that was not suitable for her skin and consequently ended up going to see a dermatologist because her skin was really, really bad.”
According to Victoria, Harper said to her: “I want to create a brand because I know what I want and I don’t want other people to have to go through what I have been through.” Victoria also recalled struggling with acne during her own teenage years, as she explained: “I went through that journey myself.
“I suffered with child acne, teenage acne, adult acne – I mean every acne under the sun, I’ve been there.” Believed to be aimed at Gen Z and Gen Alpha, with Victoria Beckham’s high-end cosmetics aimed at an older demographic, Harper has spearheaded the launch, which is said to be a long-term “dream” for her.
A source told the Sun: “This has long been a dream of Harper’s – it has all been driven and led by her.” They explained: “She has seen first-hand how her mum has successfully cracked the world of beauty and, like so many girls her age, is obsessed with all things fashion and beauty.”
The source continued that “impressive young lady” Harper is being supported by her famous parents, who are proud, but it is not an expansion of Brand Beckham. They added: “This isn’t a Brand Beckham thing, though – it is very much a Brand Harper thing.”
