Vijayawada: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Vijayawada and Young Indians (Yi) Amaravati have proposed a collaborative partnership with the Guntur district administration to promote economic, industrial and community development across the district.

A delegation comprising CII Vijayawada chairman Abhinav Kotagiri, vice-chairman Dasari Anvesh and Yi Amaravati vice-chairman Ram Nagarjunakonda met the Guntur District Collector and discussed measures to strengthen investment, industry growth and infrastructure development.

The delegation highlighted CII’s role in facilitating engagement between industry and government and proposed regular interactions to address business concerns and improve the ease of doing business in the district.

Discussions focused on enhancing Guntur’s agriculture and food-processing ecosystem through value addition in chilli, turmeric, cotton and tobacco. The delegation also advocated the development of food-processing clusters, cold-chain infrastructure and warehousing facilities. CII expressed its readiness to facilitate stronger linkages among farmers, processors, exporters and domestic and international markets.

Infrastructure and urban development in the Guntur–Mangalagiri–Amaravati growth corridor also featured prominently in the discussions. CII offered support through industry inputs, stakeholder consultations and knowledge-sharing initiatives in areas such as logistics, connectivity, industrial utilities and sustainable urban development.

Ram Nagarjunakonda outlined Yi Amaravati’s work in youth leadership, community development, sustainability and social impact, and reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to partnering with the district administration on developmental initiatives.

The Collector appreciated the proposals put forward by CII and Yi Amaravati and assured support for collaborative efforts. He expressed interest in working with CII on tourism development and strengthening industry linkages in the chilli and turmeric sectors, while welcoming greater participation by Yi Amaravati in community development programmes.
