Hyderabad: The annual distribution of the Bathini family’s fish prasadam, which is claimed to provide relief from bronchial ailments, will be held on Monday. The distribution will commence on Monday evening and continue until the following day.
The state government has made extensive arrangements at the Exhibition Grounds, Nampally, for the event. On Saturday, transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar, fisheries minister Vakiti Srihari, and fisheries corporation chairman Mettu Sai Kumar inspected the arrangements.
During the inspection, Prabhakar directed officials to ensure seamless coordination among all departments, anticipating a large turnout of people from across the country to receive the Fish Prasadam on the occasion of Mrigasira Karte.
Sai Kumar reviewed the arrangements in detail and issued necessary instructions to officials. He said that the fisheries department is overseeing the supply and distribution of fish used in the administration of the prasadam.
The delegation inspected facilities at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds, the main venue for the event. Officials were instructed to remain vigilant to prevent overcrowding and stampedes in queue lines and to implement effective traffic management measures.
Directions were also issued to ensure that fans and coolers installed along the queue lines remain operational at all times. Officials were instructed to provide uninterrupted power supply, adequate drinking water facilities, and keep waterproof generators ready for emergency use.
