Race 1
Tassort filly 7. Flaunter will make her debut after two barrier trials. She ran last in the first of them at Muswellbrook before finishing third in the latest at Tamworth. She is on an upward spiral and looks set to perform well here. 2. Oakfield Missouri will also debut after a win in his latest trial at Tamworth. Aaron Bullock takes the ride. 3. Spellecast hasn’t been disgraced in any of his three starts, including a second at Walcha at his second appearance. 4. Thirty Degrees has been unplaced in five starts but can sneak into the minor money in this small field.
How to play it: Flaunter to win.
Race 2
5. Sobek looked good in a string of trial wins before a solid win on debut as an odds-on favourite at Taree in January. Spelled after that event, he’s since returned with another trial win at Tamworth and looks set to continue his winning form here. 2. Third Base ran a great race when a last-start second at Newcastle, having only been beaten in the last stride. He should be prominent again here. 1. How to play it: Sobek to win.
Race 3
7. Microgravity ran second at his first two starts at Muswellbrook and Quirindi before breaking through with a runaway Port Macquarie win at his latest assignment. He’s on the way up and can go on with the job. 1. Dunstall The Gun comes off two strong, late-closing placings and looks right in the mix again here. 2. Astound Beauty ran second in two of her three starts earlier in the year and can sprint well fresh. 6. Leovanni was close-up at Scone in her resuming run behind a subsequent winner. She bears close watching. 1. Blanks is on debut after two trials and could get into the money without surprising.
How to play it: Serious Jewel to win.
Race 5
2. Copperline made a promising debut last July with a third-place finish at Wyong before a spell. Returning after two trials, he won at this track, defeating a runner which has since won. He resumes here after two barrier trials and looms as the danger. 4. Great Heights is fresh for this after two recent trials, while 5. Too Darn Finesse is a winner of one from three and has ability.

Race 6
4. Ocean Tsunami won at Taree in January and was then spelled. She resumed with a strong-finishing second at Newcastle before failing in a handy Highway at Rosehill. This looks more suitable. 5. Saintly Sands brings a strong overall record into this race, coming off a sharp win at Warren last start. 8. Crown Legend ran a good race when second at Bathurst two starts ago before failing at Mudgee. But he can improve in this. 12. Exorbitant Miss won at Quirindi before a last-start second behind Saintly Sands.
How to play it: Ocean Tsunami to win.
Race 7
4. Enterprise Legend been consistent for a while now and should make his presence felt in this. He was a Tamworth trial winner before resuming with a close-up third in the Lightning at Gunnedah. 5. Tough Guy ran fourth in the same Gunnedah event that Enterprise Legend contested, and he can be prominent again. 10. Up The Front ran a solid second at Kembla Grange at his first run back from a long spell and has claims, while 2. Hellcibell went down narrowly here last time out and warrants thought.
How to play it: Enterprise Legend each way.
Race 8
After breaking his maiden at Muswellbrook in January, 6. Magurtz disappointed as a beaten favourite at the same track first-up. However, he showed great closing speed to finish second at Gunnedah last start and has the talent to go one better here. 13. Pepperina won well at Muswellbrook at her first-up run before failing to fire at Scone. She can improve here. 4. Jagerschnitzel ran well enough when third at Scone first-up behind a handy one.
