Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar here on Monday conducted a field-level inspection at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds to review the security blueprints and crowd management measures finalized for the annual fish prasadam distribution event.

During the inspection, he monitored the operations of the newly established queues, distribution counters, and the mini-command control center. He further provided essential operational guidelines and directives to the on-duty security personnel to ensure seamless execution.

Speaking to media persons, he said the State government, in coordination with the Bathini family, has successfully integrated all necessary logistical arrangements for the distribution, which is scheduled to commence tonight at 9 pm.

Over 25,000 devotees from various parts of the nation have already arrived at the venue ahead of the distribution. To ensure a peaceful and orderly environment, a strong contingent of approximately 1,000 police personnel has been deployed for bandobast duties.

Special teams, including Crime Branch units, SHE Teams, and Task Force personnel, will be operating round-the-clock to prevent thefts and mitigate any untoward incidents. Recognizing the diverse cultural backgrounds of the visiting devotees, public address systems through the Police Command Control Room will broadcast vital announcements in multiple languages, including Telugu, Oriya, Kannada, Marathi, and Gujarati.

Strategic traffic diversions and modifications have been instituted to ensure the local traffic flow remains uninterrupted despite the heavy influx of visitors. To handle medical contingencies, dedicated medical teams along with five fully equipped ambulances have been stationed at the venue.

In order to manage crowd density effectively, first priority is being extended to devotees traveling from other states today. Local residents are earnestly requested to plan their visit tomorrow to prevent overcrowding.

The Commissioner assured the public that an adequate stock of the fish prasadam is available, urging citizens not to succumb to anxiety regarding its availability.

He advised citizens not to believe or circulate unverified rumors or misinformation and appealed to the general public to maintain tranquility and cooperate fully with the state administration and law enforcement agencies to ensure the successful and safe conduct of the event.
