Molly Mae Hague gave birth to her second child at London’s Portland Hospital which comes highly rated for luxury, highly personalised care and hotel style services
Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague gave birth to a son last week with her fiancé Tommy Fury at her side at London’s Portland Hospital.
The star welcomed a baby boy – whose name the couple has yet to release – in the luxury maternity wing which has been the hospital of choice for many A-listers, including royalty.
The suite is renowned for luxury en-suite rooms, high-end dining, and hotel-style services available to new mothers 24 hours a day. With lobster on the menu, afternoon tea served and even four poster ‘cots’ for newborn’s it’s the place to be to deliver in style.
Molly-Mae joins actual royalty in making it her top choice following Meghan Markle, who welcomed son Archie there in 2019, and Sarah Ferguson who gave birth to Princess Eugenie and Beatrice there 30 years earlier. Princess Eugenie also gave birth to her first child in 2021 in the very same hospital.
Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Kate Winslet, and Liz Hurley also all gave birth in the hospital wing at various points over the years.
The private hospital has high-end ‘birthing packages’ on offer with lobster and champagne available on the 24-hour room service menus, with packages ranging in price, with the most expensive option at £30,000.
The site says full maternity clinic packages start from prices around £8,910, plus fees, with extra charges added for things like epidurals (£1,000), additional nights in your room (priced at £1,250 per night), forceps deliveries (£140), or an induction (£600).
Jesi Rosati confirmed that she was given afternoon tea and treats while staying there. Speaking to Grazia earlier this year she confirmed: “I got champagne and afternoon tea every day I was there.
“They bought this huge tray of chocolates and cakes and tea, it was a nice little photo opportunity for me and the new baby. I was famished after I gave birth so the days afterwards we would order three or four entrées and just pick at them, the kids menu was even phenomenal we got the kids mac and cheese every day.”
Another mother who gave birth at the hospital also told the outlet: “Our room was like a hotel room, private bathroom and also a bed for my partner. The menu included champagne and strawberries, afternoon tea, roast chicken and vegetables, steak plus lemon and strawberry tarts for dessert.”
But its not just the food that makes it exceptional, mother’s have stated that the staff are hands-on, and hugely outnumber the patients, with 50 full-time midwives on the payroll, and a nursery mum’s can ‘check-in’ their baby for the night post-birth.
The hospital is also a one-stop -shop with a NICU on site, and patients able to get all of their treatment – including as many scans as they wish – plus their doctor on speed dial for assistance at any point of their pregnancy.
There are 36 private rooms in total, with the rooms ranging from standard to suites with en-suites and lounge areas. It has been reported that some of these more luxurious suites have been reserved by royalty for the cool sum of £2,000 per night.
Following Bambi’s birth, a source told The Sun : “Money was no object for Molly and Tommy when it came to deciding where to give birth. The couple wanted the very best for their daughter and they definitely got that.”
This was clearly the same approach the couple went for when deciding to bring their son into the world in the same hospital.
Molly-Mae and Tommy announced the arrival of their baby with a sweet hospital picture last week. The family photo, shared on Instagram, showed Molly in a hospital gown in bed, while Tommy and their daughter Bambi stared lovingly at the new addition.
