Several actors, filmmakers and fans also took to social media to remember Bharathiraja and reflect on his contribution to Indian cinema.

Khushbu Sundar: “Devastated to know that our most beloved, loved and respected Director, the legendary BharathiRaaja avl is no longer with us. His demise is a gloomy cloud in Tamil cinema. His films have been benchmarked and shall continue to be the actual school of filmmaking. He leaves behind a huge legacy for every cinema lover. He always said let’s do a film with me in 2 pigtails. That shall remain an unfulfilled dream. Will miss you a lot Sir. Rest in peace. Om Shanti.”

Pawan Kalyan: “The passing of the renowned legendary film director and Padma Shri awardee Shri Bharathiraja garu is an irreplaceable loss to the Indian film industry. With his extraordinary films, he not only won the hearts of Tamil cinema audiences but also those of Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada language viewers.”

Chiranjeevi: “Indian cinema has lost one of its greatest storytellers. He transformed the fragrance of village soil, the beauty of human relationships, the innocence of love, and the emotions of ordinary people into timeless cinematic poetry. His films touched millions of hearts and inspired generations of filmmakers. I was fortunate to work under his direction as Pauliraju in Aradhana. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy will live on forever through his remarkable films.”

Mohanlal: “A director who found poetry in the soil, truth in silence, and soul in every frame. Sharing screen space with Bharathiraja Sir in Thudarum was an honour I will cherish forever. RIP sir. Your legacy will continue to inspire generations, and your presence will be deeply missed.”

Actress Revathy shared an Instagram post remembering him as a key figure in her acting journey.
