So, if you’re someone who wants to stream the matches, here’s everything you’ll need to know.

When does the FIFA World Cup start?

The FIFA World Cup 2026 will kick off on Thursday, June 11, 2026 (ET), with group matches beginning at 3 PM, meaning Indian fans will be able to stream the games starting Friday, June 12, 2026, at 12:30 AM (IST). After the group rounds, the tournament will move on to knockout matches, quarterfinals, and semifinals. The third-place match will take place on Saturday, July 18, 2026 (ET), while the final match will occur on Sunday, July 19, 2026 (ET). So, fans better be prepared for a month of adrenaline, enthusiasm and fun.

Which country is hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026?

FIFA World Cup 2026 isn’t being hosted by a single country, which means, along with the some steat grapping sports fun, fans will also be exporling 16 cities across Canada, Mexico, and the United States, including Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, East Rutherford, Guadalajara, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, Monterrey, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Where to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026?

In the United States, FOX will broadcast 70 games, including every match from the Round of 16 through the finals. However, the additional 34 matches will be aired by FS1. Meanwhile, the Spanish-language broadcasts will be held by NBCUniversal. Telemundo will carry 92 games, and Universo will have the other 12. Nonetheless, if you want to watch the games without cable, you’ll need a live TV streaming service or one of two on-demand video streamers.

As for in India, fans will be able to stream the matches on Unite8 Sports or for free on DD Sports. Several streaming services for streaming FIFA include DirecTV, which offers the base sports package for USD 50 for the first two months to get Fox and FS1. On the other hand, Fox One will allow fans to stream the games for USD 20 per month. Fubo also has a sports plan for USD 45.99 for the first month, then USD 55.99 per month to get Fox and FS1. Fans can also stream FIFA on Hulu for USD 90.

Peacock and Sling offer streaming services at USD 10.99 and USD 30 per month, respectively, whereas YouTube TV has a standard plan at USD 83 and a sports pack at USD 65. However, if fans don’t have a streaming subscription, they might be able to catch some games with a free trial. FuboTV, for example, offers a 7-day free trial, while Hulu offers a 3-day trial period.
