Prime Video announced that its upcoming Telugu-language Original series, Isakapatnam, will premiere globally on July 2. This seven-episode action thriller is directed by Garry BH. The gritty crime drama, imbued in the revenge element, stars Samuthirakani and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles. Also featuring Sunil and Naresh Agastya, Isakapatnam, is a story of colliding forces set in the ruthless port town in the 1990s, received good response for its promotional content. It will stream in Telugu with Tamil and Hindi dubs, alongside subtitles in fifteen languages across 240 countries.

The seven-episode series is set in a fictional port town. Viewers will experience a dark world of power struggles and gangster wars. Now, while these are conventional in and of themselves, the show blends them with family feuds and political machinations.

Nikhil Madhok from Prime Video India noted that the series blends a forceful narrative with relatable characters to keep audiences hooked. While the series has the intensity of a thriller, it is a story about personal loss and loyalty, the producers of the series added. 

Expect the show to be tight because director Garry BH is an accomplished editor. He made his official debut as a lead feature film editor with the hit spy thriller Goodachari (2018). Since then, he has edited over 25 projects, including highly acclaimed films like Evaru (2019), HIT: The First Case (2020), HIT: The Second Case (2022), Dasara (2023), and Saindhav (2024). Samuthirakani was seen in recent movies like Kaantha, while Aishwarya Rajesh is known for the Telugu blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunam.
